Come Visit Bowler′s Copse

From Jane Burrett
SUNDAY 24th JULY 2011 - FROM 14.30 – TO APPROX. 18.00
Welcome to BOWLER’S COPSE along the back lane to Bicester.
(Just past the first turning onto the dual carriageway towards Oxford)

Come over one of the bridges and stroll through the hazel copse - see the 3 strongly growing areas and the 4th area which was coppiced in winter 2010 -2011 and is beginning to shoot again. Tree shaded pond at Bicester end of copse

The woodland path is soft but uneven – not suitable for wheelchairs unfortunately but pushchairs OK. Dogs on leads please; because the copse is near the roads. Small bug-hunting cups will be available and first aid kit too.

We would like suggestions about how the areas without growing hazel might be used in the future, now that the copse is more established again.
Bowler’s Copse volunteers will be on hand to answer questions.
