Here is a little more information.

Round Dancing is a type of choreographed ballroom dancing in which the Cuer calls out figures, which are performed by all dancers simultaneously.  There are dances to most of the common latin and modern rhythms, e.g. Waltz and Cha Cha (and some rhythms specific to round dancing) to many different styles of music.  It is non-competitive and the emphasis is on fun and friendship.  Everyone is welcome - singles, couples and families.  No partner, previous experience or special eqipment is needed.

We meet twice per month on Wednesdays in Bletchingdon.  Beginners sessions focus on learning the basic figures in the most common rhythms, and are suitable for people who have no prior knowledge of dancing.  At the end of the course they are rewarded with a “graduation” ceremony.  Improvers sessions are designed for dancers who have “graduated” from the beginners sessions or have prior knowledge of dancing and who wish to continue to learn and extend their skills.
